Avon Calling
Most famous Pagoda in Jianxi province
Tai dancing with his friends from the orphanage - that is Bailey in the red!!!!!
Everyday this nanny would take Tai out to see the birds. He and the nanny flapped their arms looking at the birds. Note to self - must get birdfeeder when we get home. hmmmm might need some trees too.....
Clean Up! Clean Up! Everybody Clean Up! Our very helpful little guy!
Beautiful dancers at the show at the Pagoda - their costumes look like flowers
Just a glimpse of the traffic in Nanchang
Look at the handsome man in the outfit from Amy! We think he looks pretty cute!
Nuff said
Duck Jerky anyone?
Little Monkey Man. Everyone in China loves our little harness, we get lots of smiles. We are not about to loose this precious boy in China
" Mama Show" -Thanks Diane for that one, it is very handy. Plus our guide was most impressed when I said this. She thinks we are "very smart Americans" hee hee
Tai loves loves loves mamas crystal light
Finally a mama son picture
" Jenny Chinga"
And he is ours........................... FOREVER
I just love this fancy slippers - see our "seizure precautions" on the crib
This laugh is mighty contagiousToday we made some real headway! It was all about mama today! Woo Hoo! Jason told him to bring me something while I was in the bathroom doing laundry. Tai comes right up to me and said "mama". Yippee!!!!! He is letting me hold him more and I got in a few good snuggles too. Still getting lots of "chinga"/kisses from him which is oh so much fun. He still prefers dad for night time, but that is OK.
We visited the orphange today and it was so amazing. We were not allowed to take pictures inside with the kids. However, we were able to recognize some children of families that we know that are waiting to travel. I was allowed to snap their pictures, so I got some inside. I have so many stories to tell, but it will just have to wait til we get home... just too many. And a bit emotional. We walked into one room with about 40 children ages infant to about 2 or 3. We brought bubbles and stickers. We had a blast playing with the bubbles. They are all so adorable!!!!! I wanted to scoop each of them up and bring them home. There were some tiny little ones that were oh so cute. They had a ton of nannies, so I think a decent ratio. You could tell that they loved these children. Esp our little Tai. They all said he was their favorite (we can see why). When we pulled up, one nanny started yelling to the others and they flocked to him like the paparazzi! It was amazing. Tai did so well with it all. He felt right at home. At one point he walked around a corner brought out a broom, started sweeping. It was hilarious. He danced and played with his friends. We got some really neat pics. Then we went to his foster family's house. We met his mother and his foster siblings (5 kids total). They said he was their favorite. The children are not allowed in the parents room, except for Tai! He sleeps with them at night, (that explains our sleeping issues). When the mom saw us she walked into her room straight to a candy box and pulled out a handful of suckers and gave them to Tai. Then she shoved one in his mouth. Oh my!!!! We also found out that Tai is very close to foster daddy. Explains the whole attachment to Jason. Anyway, we had a great time and I am so happy that we went. Tai did great. He was ready to come back to us in the end of our visit. He did mama chinga (kisses)and baba chinga for everyone and they thought that was great!
Kim - the cutie lil boy in the pictures is also on the waiting child list but doesn't have a family yet! He is a cutie and loves Tai, they were walking around holding hands. The other little girl in his pictures has a family waiting in America we were told. The other kids are older and were at school so we did not meet them. We handed out suckers to the special needs kids. There were some cutie pies in that room! They were so excited they were hanging out the windows to see us and to get a sucker. Overall it was a great experience. I am so happy that we went. I am so happy that i can share this all with Tai someday.
We are starting to really miss home, esp our beds, our puppy lucy, and starbucks! And of course our wonderful friends and family. We feel as if the walls in this room are closing in on us a little bit each minute. It has been cold and rainy so it is hard to get out. The buffet does not have coffee everyday, but today they did. It was the worst coffee I have ever tasted, but oh so good! I think god knew that after our rough night with Tai last night that we needed some coffee!!! But overall, we are having a great time. We are so in love with this little guy and we can't wait for you all to meet him. Enjoy the pictures tonight! Sorry some our sideways, too tired to fix it. Aaron, the yellow box is "duck jerky", if we find a smaller box we wil bring you some.
Chris and Candy! Congrats, we are so happy that Caden is here!!!! Can't wait to meet him, we are looking forward to our playdates with the 3 boys. If you get a chance send us a picture. Would love to see the new little addition to your family too!

Hi guys! Well, finally some pictures of Tai and Heidi. I can't wait to hear the orphanage stories. They must be beautiful, sad, sweet, amazing, startling and any other adjective you can think of. Neusely tried to send you message here, but she couldn't make it work. So, she sends her love and will try again tomorrow. By the time you read this you'll have spent another night. Hope this one was a little more restful. xoxo, Auntie Kris
